Window treatments can be a costly and long lasting investment. A couple of tips that you may want to consider when you are shopping for new window treatments are:

Neutrals always work:
You are buying something that you are going to be using for a long period of time, using neutral colors like white, off-whites, beige, brown, gray is usually a good idea. Neutral colors are often the best choice for long lasting use and visual appeal.

Light filtering or black out?
Decide whether you prefer no light at all or prefer the light and just want the privacy. Think about which room gets the most sun and which room you absolutely don’t need any sun in, maybe the room you sleep in you’d like no sun coming through and in the living room you’d love for it to be a bright open space. These are questions you need to ask yourself.

Brighter or Darker Colors
Decide whether you prefer dark or light tones for your window treatments. Darker and rich colors will make the room appear closed in as lighter shades create a feeling of openness.

Larger vs. Smaller Rooms
Larger rooms call for larger patterns, larger pleats, or larger blinds. As you can guess, smaller rooms need window coverings that make smaller statements.

These are some tips to consider when shopping for new window treatments.
