When someone decides to redecorate their entire home or even just one room alone they think about a lot of things. Sometimes too many things “outside the box” to make your room transformation more exciting than your friends and families place. But not all of us have interior design minds and can only watch so much HGTV to get some cool ideas. This whole process can be a bit overwhelming and gets us thinking of all kinds of things to change. Some include the furniture, wallpaper, paint color, flooring and light fixtures.
When redecorating people try to match everything with their interior designs. One thing that many people do not take the time to think about is their windows. Many people tend to pass over the windows not really taking the time to think about it, but even changing the littlest thing about the windows can make the biggest differences. The windows control the amount of light that enters a room and can be visually pleasing depending on your view. But its up to you to be able to transform or enhance your windows to contribute to your room decor. If done correctly the changes that one makes to their windows can bring any room back to life.
One thing that can make a world of difference are the window shades. Usually when making the windows a focal point everyone focuses on adding curtain panels, sheers or valances. Im referring to what actually goes inside the window casing to provide you light control or privacy. Normally you see basic mini blinds, pull down rollers or nothing at all. But there are many different options that you have to choose from. They can come in different colors, different materials, and even different types. That doesn’t include bulky fabric and extension rods to hang them with also. You might even be able to put something in the window that will take the place of everything outside the window!
Many types of window shades that an individual can choose from are roman shades, cellular shades, roller shades and bamboo shades. There are many different options that you can choose from as well. Some include; cordless, top down bottom up, light filtering and blackout. They all come in a variety of colors, pattern and textures to fit any room style and decor. If done correctly it will only help to enhance a room. So instead of thinking “outside the box”, try thinking “inside the box” for a change!
