Verticals – tips and tricks?

Thought this would be a good topic to talk about since I’m not a big fan of vertical blinds, but understand they are more realistic for my sliding door and large picture windows. I’ve figured out a few solutions and quick fixes that made me realize my own patience is really the problem rather than the verticals themselves. I know I’m not the only one that thinks vinyl vanes are a waste of money because they always break at the top and fall off the track. When those pieces do break I am either trying to scotch tape them back on or flipping them and taking my office hole puncher and creating another hole so I can hang the damn things. So let’s start with resolving this problem first.

Many people are put off by the thought of verticals for large windows and sliding doors. They are sometimes called old-fashioned and not cutting edge. I am here to tell you that verticals are here to stay!  They just work! They are practical and cost-effective. They also provide fantastic light control and ease of use.

Verticals- old but still the best!

Vertical blinds; they are old and outdated and worst of all they make noise “when you keep them closed and leave the window open!”  I’ve been hearing this for the past 10 years….So I think it’s fair to say that the excuses for not wanting vertical blinds is that they are “old and outdated!” ….Reality check!

There are still like a hundred types of vertical blinds out there, but I don’t understand why. There are all these new fun and funky styles, is there any way that people could possibly still be buying them??
