The New Kid on the Block – Panel Track Edition

By Darius J.

While plastic vertical blinds are on the decline, Panel track blinds maybe on the rise; with two great styles to choose from (Woven wood, Roller shade) Panel track blinds has tons of options; unlike traditional vertical blinds. As previous stated Panel track blinds has many options, for instance Panel track blinds can come as a translucent shade for privacy but still able to let natural light in once its close; or a transparent blind that will let light filter in while seeing through the actual material.

Equally important Panel track blinds are great if you have a very wide and tall window that you want to cover; but don’t want the hassle of having a lot of little slats like on traditional vertical blinds. Panel track blinds cover more space with limited amount of panels used.

In conclusion Panel track blinds are very easy to operate, when they are opened the panels will stack neatly to the side, all overlapping each other; in the same sense the panel track comes with a continuous cord loop that is mounted on the side to give a safe and clean look.

Divide and Conquer

I built a new sunroom approximately three months ago. It had seven tall windows.  The room was very spacious about 250sq ft. The walls were painted a light pink; the window trims white. The flooring was a hard wood light oak color and  on top of it sat a floor rug that was also pink. The purpose of the room was to function as a massage parlor for my new business, ran from my home, named “Touched By An Angel.” The problem was I did not have any window treatments and the room was not built with patricians. I needed to have multiple spaces in which my clientele could have their own private rooms. I had then begun my search.

Panel track as a room divider

By: Dominic

My wife and I bought a home a few years back. It has a large living room/sun room. The room is very large and has many windows in the back-end of it and also a door leading to a back deck. The room really serves two purposes for us. We use it for watching television and just relaxing. We also use the back portion of the room as a sun room. We contemplated putting a wall up to divide them into separate rooms but we really like to have the whole thing open from time to time. A friend of ours recommended that we put up a panel track which could serve as a way to close off the living room from the sun room.

The Vertical Alternative?

By: Karen

I know I’m not the only one out there that hates verticals. But the truth of the matter is, they do the job, and they do it fairly well. But they are noisy, bulky, and generally unattractive. I know they tilt open and closed, and move to the side when you want to use the door, but I don’t have blinds on my other windows that open and close, I have shades that are either open or closed, and I am just fine with them.

Panel Tracks – not only for doors, then what for?

By: Erica

Growing up I lived in a small 3 bedroom house with my mom and 2 older sisters. Which meant there were four of us and 2 were shafted into sharing a room with one another. My mom clearly got her own room and my oldest sister Melissa was in high school, so there was no way she was rooming with her two little sisters. So you guessed it right, it was me and my sister Jen sharing a room. We at least for the most part had the largest bedroom in the house. Enough room for 2 twin size beds side by side with at least 5 feet in between with our own walk in closets. So for the most part I couldn’t complain. My sister and me were only a year apart so we got along, most of the time. But there were times I wish I could go to my room and feel I had my own space. If you’re wondering it never happened, until I moved out of course.

Panel Tracks – The Stylish New Way To Treat Your Slider?!

By: Karen

As I was roaming around the blind stores in the area, I was trying to come up with a treatment for the new slider we added in our basement – I love having it open, but because of the sun coming in on the TV in the afternoon it needs to be covered.  We had refinished the room completely, and it now serves as a family/entertaining room, and installed a slider that opens up to the backyard and pool.  Chances are it will become the new hangout for my teenage daughter and her friends, as well as a great place to entertain my friends.
