Daughter’s Room Décor

I decided it was time to redecorate my daughter’s room. She turned 7 this year, and she still has borders around her wall with butterflies and flowers, that are clearly designed for a nursery. Some furniture had been added to the room, and some had been taken away while she was growing up, but it really looked like an unorganized mess. But, I didn’t want to redecorate in another style she would outgrow in a few years. This is where I came up with the idea to design a “shabby chic” style room (I found it in a magazine I should say).

The Dilemma: Princesses and Dinosaurs

One could argue that it’s my fault that both of my kids are obsessed – my daughter with princesses, and my son with dinosaurs.  Since they can remember, in their long 5 years of life, I have bought them more items related to these obsessions than every mother should have.  Now that we have moved into a new house, and they are getting their own rooms, it only seems logical to them that absolutely everything is related!
