Picture windows are beautiful in a home but not if they’re making you feel like you’re living in a fish bowl. Plus, those dreaded verticals have gotten on your last nerve with their clicking and clacking. Verticals are the only thing that will come big enough for that window though, right? Wrong. With the new year right around the corner, now is a good time to do some updating and get the look you really love.

Vertical Victory

By: AishaBTG105

Verticals have been around for a very long time, so long they are basically a household name brand commodity. The uses for them vary from covering small windows to multiple windows to slider doors, and they come in two types, vinyl and fabric.

My main living area is made up of one big room, with a wide window in the middle of one of the walls. Since the window is so large and predominate in the room, vertical blinds will probably be the most practical option.

Huge Window??

By: Karen

I have a huge window. It is 112” wide. I know I am stubborn, but I like what I like. Sure I could divide the blinds or shades into three panels, to cover each window – but I don’t want to. I want one big shade or blind, or whatever to cover it all. Turns out, that really narrows down my options.
