The end of summer can be a bummer, but never fear pumpkin spice lattes and cozy throws are here! It’s time to introduce a snuggly makeover to your casa. Adding decor upgrades such as accent pillows, metal art and area rugs can tie in the new season seamlessly.  Accent pillows come in all shapes and sizes, plus the color options are endless. Not to mention tossing a few accent pillows on the couch in the living room or in the master bedroom will compliment the furniture and/or fabric color(s), and add a dash of comfy cozy chic to the fall season.

 If you have mastered finding the perfect pillows, then finding metal art will be a breeze. Art can be warm and cozy or vibrant and cool, equally important metal art such as sculptures have mixed designs with multiple metal elements like copper, nickel, brass and gold. Mixing metal art decor will compliment the change in the season like the color variation in the leaves. 

Given these points you can create your own funky artistic vibes to match your inner interior designer. Once your metal art selections are in place then all thats left is to find an area rug to complete the new look. Bold textures like wool, plush and fury area rugs will make the new season come to light. To be mentioned last is choosing a color and texture like rust or teal wool that will turn your home into a warm, comfy, relaxing space. A wool area rug in any color will change how you feel about summers sudden end. Just add a few candles  as well as blanket, and wallah you’re walking into fall the right way.

Of course the first sense used when walking into a room is sight. People can come alive with the right visual cues; arrangement, light, and colors are the majors elements that draw the eyes.

The art placed in home can affect emotions while looking at it. Hang a cohesive unit of artwork closer together, or use one large dramatic piece. Remember, the center should be at eye level. To draw a certain type of emotion into a room, choose the art that releases what is desired. Hang family photos in chronological order to create an awareness of time. This can help memory and tells the story of life and family. Plus, it’s fun to showcase certain moments that are cherished for everyone to see!

Using different colors in a room impacts mood; blue for calmness, red for excitement, orange for enthusiasm, the list goes on. When weighing options for a paint color, really think about how a whole room of that color feels to be in; if it’s too intense, maybe settle for a focus/accent wall or items. Patterned wall papers can be just as effective too. Playing with them can help you developed a color scheme to invigorate certain empathy.

The right dimness and brightness can impact how everything is seen. Embrace an interesting light fixture that may play with the eye or a smaller simple to create sublty. Be sure to get the right dimness/brightness for the space. Remember, the tone of the lights can also affect the colors scheme. Cool tones will help elaborate a clean and fresh look. Warmer tones cast a homey or romantic feeling.

The bottom line, visual cues transform a person’s mood. Utilizing these techniques can lead to embracing a new outlook everyday. After all, what you see is what you get!
