On those hot summer nights when no matter how you try to cool down, the best remedy is grabbing a cold glass of lemonade and sitting out on your screened sun porch to enjoy the view. Traditionally, many people like the idea of blinds for the summer. The ability to control how much light comes in by tilting the slats appeals to many people. Serenity are a window treatment that takes a blind and mixes it with a sheer shade look to create a soft blind that allows light and air to flow through. Another sheer option that works great for summer time is sunweaves. They block out UV rays and create a sheer weave look on windows. Cascades are a new introduction to window treatments. They are very similar to Serenity, with a roller shade twist. No matter which three you choose, you can enjoy a very subtle and soft summer look on your windows.
Cascade shades are very similar to roller shades, with a color block effect. These shades come on a roller to create two separate layers of material. When you raise and lower them you can give yourself full privacy or allow light and a summer scenic view to come through. These shades come in neutral colors like white and beige, which can match with many different decor themes. Serenity shades cannot be rolled up and tilted at the same time, but they are great at giving a soft appeal to windows. They come in neutral earth tone colors and work great in any color scheme. They are very delicate and would work well in dining rooms, living rooms, breakfast nooks and even sunrooms. Sunweave shades are going to give you the biggest options when it comes to color variations and patterns. These basket weave patterns work great in sunrooms and porches. They will cut back on tremendous amount of summer sun, while giving you a clear view to the outside scenery. They are sheer and don’t allow any privacy, so these shades are not recommended for bedrooms and bathrooms.
When you think of summer time and window treatments, sheer shades usually don’t come to mind first. But these shades offer a great softness and sheerness that works in the summer. They create a soft airy appeal that will lighten up a room and allow you to fully appreciate the summer months and the outside view from the world. Be different and try different things. Blinds are the thing of the past; everyone has blinds on their windows. Try a new look and grab some shades for sheer madness.
