metro_tang_br_003So, like a lot of moms, I decorated my daughter’s room in all pink, with lacy curtains and delicate decorations.  And, like most girls when they grow up, they get bored of pink walls, and the decorations their moms’ thought would look good in their room.  Which brings me to my current dilemma, which is that my daughter decided she hates her room, and her wall color and asked when I was planning on letting her redecorate.  When I started asking her what she thought would be a good color, or if she had any ideas in mind, she informed me that she already decided that she wanted a “daisy” room.

Of course, what first came to my mind were bright yellow or orange walls, which seemed sickening to say the least. So, we got to looking up pictures in magazines, and online, to try and figure

out a way that I could give her daises, but keep it somewhat classy at the same time.  It turns out, daisies are quite popular right now, and there were a lot of different examples of pictures online of room done in a daisy theme that looks quite nice.

We started with a comforter, and decided to draw inspiration for the rest of the room from there.  The comforter had a sky blue background, and had large, white and yellow daisies all over it. We deci

ded that matching the walls to the background would be a good idea, and she currently loves the color blue, so I figure even if she gets bored of the comforter, she will still have the blue walls.  I also decided on pulling out the yellow that were in the daisies by getting some cute curtains that could go over the white blinds she already had up.

Throughout the rest of the room we used white and yellow accents – in jewelry boxes, and bookshelves.  In the end, I was impressed with the way it came out.  Although it wasn’t the pink I made it years earlier, it was very feminine and cute, and best of all, my daughter loved it!
